Children and Youth

Sundays

Sundays 10am

Children of all ages are welcomed at and involved in all sorts of worship at St Peter’s. Special provision is made for children with books and ‘quiet toys’ available on the left hand side of the church as you face the altar. This is a good place to sit if you are coming to the 10am Sunday service for the first time.

‘Sunday school’ sessions are offered on many Sundays in term time, with children and adult helpers moving to the Hall for age specific activities during the middle of the service. In school holidays and at half term activity sheets and other resources are available to cater for children when Hall sessions are not running.

‘All In’ services, where everyone stays in church and children and young people have leading roles, take place on various occasions through the year.

Footprints

Footprints is a Toddler Group meeting between 10.00am and 11:30am on Mondays in term-time in the Church Hall. It’s open to parents, grandparents, child minders and carers with their toddlers and babies. We aim to support families and children by providing a safe and welcoming space for parents and carers to meet in a relaxed and informal environment where children can play, learn and interact.

The name ‘Footprints’ encourages us to be conscious of our environmental impact. We try to use natural and sustainable resources where possible.

We welcome a small donation of £2 per family to cover the cost of refreshments, resources and hall hire.

The group is limited in numbers and therefore we ask you to register before attending. When we’re full, your details will be added to our waiting list. To register or add your name to the waiting list please click here.
