What we seek, ultimately, is ‘Lives transformed by following Christ in love and service’. The way we are working towards this is to ‘Worship God. Make friends. Change the world.’ We aim to engage in these activities by ‘praying faithfully, listening well, acting boldly and serving generously’.

Worship at St Peter’s is very varied in style. We hold four services every Sunday and one every Thursday. This means that St Peter’s Church is currently a family of five congregations. Which, I wonder, would suit you? Here is what we offer:
- 8.00am Sunday: Said Communion
(C of E Common Worship Order 1)
- 9.45am Sunday: Sung Communion
(C of E Common Worship Order 1)
- 4.00pm Sunday: Horizon. A
45 minute child friendly service with
time for adult reflection.
- 7.30pm Sunday: Foundation. A
reflective service incorporating our
Foundation missional community themes
of Faith, Art and Justice. This service
includes Holy Communion twice per month.
- 10.30am Thursday: Said Communion in the Lady Chapel

Major Christian festivals are also marked with special services as they occur. For details please see the church diary.
All services except 8.00am Sunday include the opportunity to meet and get to know other attenders over refreshments afterwards.
We welcome enquiries about baptism, weddings and funerals. Opportunities to explore and deepen Christian faith through St Peter's e.g. through home groups are plentiful and information on them can be found here.
Having built a Link Corridor between the Church and the Hall and developed the church area in 2016, St Peter’s can now describe itself as a Church Centre. Both the hall and the church have performance areas and seating and refreshment facilities for audiences of over 100 people. The two buildings can host one large event or possibly two smaller events simultaneously, depending on the facilities required. St Peter’s has a small number of paid staff, a much larger number of volunteer leaders and many people of different ages and backgrounds attending its services and activities regularly and occasionally.
